I’ll not be needing one today
I heard the lady say
In fact I think I have one left
I bought the other day
Not that I couldn’t have a spare
And keep it in the shed
But likely I’d forget it
So leave it, like I said
I quite agree it won’t go bad
They keep for ages these
Even had one for a month
But that was in deep freeze
Now Mrs Evans down the road
Says Harold’s had his eight
Though take that with a pinch of salt
She always did exaggerate
Alright, go on, I’ll take one then
No doubt it will come in
In fact I might as well have three
And keep them in a tin
I hope I’m not delaying you
By holding up the queue
Now, what else was I wanting?
Ah yes, I know, two tins of stew.
