I’ve asked you before not to do it
Just stop behaving like that
Throwing a bucket of water
Over our neighbour’s poor cat.

I know that it we’d on the lettuce
Sprayed all the lavender too
Uprooted one or two bedding plants
But that’s just what cats like to do.

True its sits out there on bird table
With its mouth opened wide as can be
No doubt thinking. “Oh how lovely
I’ll be having sparrow for tea.”

O.K, it’s not nice when you garden
And the cat’s done a poo in the soil
You put your foot right there, in it
It’s enough to make your blood boil.

In fact on considering the matter
I’m beginning to think I agree
So re-fill that bucket with water
And pass the damn thing over to me.
