Just got some medication
With childproof lid they say
No matter how I turn it
The top intends to stay

I have pushed down as instructions say
And tried to turn it round
Now it only needs a turn
But no, click, click, there goes that sound

Right then, I’ll put it down
With lid pressed on the floor
Spin round in a circle
Try the thing once more

Would not be so bad you see
Had I the energy
But till the contents I can reach
No use, they are Vitamins for me

By chance the little lad next door
Called in to say “hello”
“I’ll do that for you Uncle Roy
Here, let me have a go”

And sure enough the little lad
With one almighty push
Turned the cap, with no click, click
They call it childproof pack, not much

The bottle now lies open
Upon the kitchen shelf
Until such time I am strong enough
To open it myself!!
