Its fun to watch a thunderstorm
When one is in the dry
Looking through the window
At dark and leaden sky

The water in the bird bath
Bubbles with the rain
Water splashing on the roof
Then gushing down the drain.

With starlings finding shelter
Underneath the eaves
And splashes in the treetops
Which bring alive the leaves.

The flash and THEN the thunder
Like brass band in full cry
Yes, its fun to watch a thunderstorm
When one is in the dry.
