A REET GOOD DO!

We had such a wonderful evening
All of the gentry were there
Dukes from the highlands of Scotland
Including a Lord from Stranraer

I spoke with the Duchess of Mildew
Had words with an Earl up from Gwent
But none can compare in my lifetime
For I met with the Duchess of Kent

“Hi Roy” she said, leaving the others
It’s nice up in Bolton I’m told
And how are your wife and the children
You are still living in Adrian Road?

I’m sorry the duke isn’t with me
He’d love to have come,I must say
He was only asking last weekend
Are your friends that we met still away?

We chatted for ages and ages
The Duchess exuding such charm
But suddenly the night was quite ruined
When I awoke to my bedroom alarm!!!
