Of course we are still in Lancashire
Whoever said “we have left”?
I know on bits of paper
We are G.M. or the Met

But all of that is irrelevant
What counts is in our hearts
Whilst jumped up little dignitaries
Move us to other parts

Though only on some letterheads
Or official looking maps
The people never moved at all
So gentlemen, perhaps,

You’ll just consider all of this
When your powers you display
We are very much in Lancashire
And that just where we will stay.

There is nothing wrong with Manchester
For Mancunians that is
But when its comes to Bolton
Just leave it where it is.
